Key Responsibilities

  • IT Infrastructure Management:
    • Oversee and maintain computer systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
    • Ensure IT security and compliance with company policies.
    • Monitor and optimize system performance, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
    • Manage cloud-based systems Microsoft 365.
  • External Support Coordination:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for external IT service providers.
    • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
    • Oversee IT contracts, service agreements, and procurement of hardware/software.
  • Strategic IT Planning:
    • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with Evans Transport Ltd’s business goals.
    • Identify opportunities for technology improvements to enhance efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations.
  • User Support & Training:
  • Provide technical assistance to employees, troubleshooting issues as needed.
  • Train employees on best IT practices and cybersecurity awareness.
  • Maintain documentation of IT systems and support procedures.
Your profile

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
    • Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or CISSP are highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong expertise in Windows operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting.
    • Experience managing Active Directory, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud-based systems.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and risk management.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with external providers and employees.
  • Ability to work strategically and independently in a fast-paced environment.
