Qualifications and Skills Experience: Proven experience as an HGV mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engines and air systems. Certification: Relevant certifications in vehicle maintenance and repair (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance). Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software. (preferred) Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure all work is performed to the highest standards. Internal combustion engine knowledge preferred but not essential Experience in Hydraulics & rams preferred Welding / Fabrication of benefit but not essential HGV Licence of benefit but not essential. Communication: Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and management. Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various conditions.
