Joining the trailer launched in March, Evans Transport is proud to unveil the image for the second unit illustrating North Devon Tourism.

Travelling throughout the UK, the trailers are designed to highlight the quality of our North Devon coast and Exmoor.

On the road from today are our 5 new MAN TGX 480 trucks supporting the new 65 registration. 2 will be operating on our tipper fleet, with 2 joining the brick and block haulage fleet. 1 will join the general transport.

One of the 5 trucks (illustrated by the first image) is the special edition MAN centenary unit which celebrates 100 years of MAN manufacturing lorries. This is very fitting for Evans Transport, as we have had a long history with MAN with their marque being in our fleet for over 40 years.

Evans Transport have been confirmed as the main sponsors for the Community Awards for the second year running.

Nigel Evans managing director confirmed their commitment to the awards in a press release to the main hosts North Devon Journal in last week’s copy.

Evans Transport exhibited at the recent Wessex Truck Show at the Yeovil Showground a range of lorries from their fleet.

They were proud to receive 3 place in the Best Vintage category, for the refurbished  ERF lorry first used by John Evans at the start of the business.

The Iveco Scarab Mistral sweeper, the newest arrival at Evans Transport, is fitted with dual sweep ability allowing for independent use of both side brushes. This function allows for super sweep capability.

Power Trust allows for up and down pressure on both brushes and in conjunction with the Spray Bar System supplies water directly to the brushes and suction nozzles.

Mike Symons and Bonnie Birch received the Palletforce Depot of the year award for the 3rd year running at the Gala Awards Dinner last Saturday evening.
Achieving this accolade for the 3rd year running highlights the high standards the team put into ensuring our customers receive the best possible service all year round.

Bradley Goaman, John Marks, Peter Hocking and Andy Walker team winners at the Evans Transport Golf Day played at Royal North Devon Wednesday 17th June.

Peter Hocking also won the individual prize with Simon Goaman 2nd.

From the East the Water site in Bideford the new Euromecc concrete batching plant is up and running.

Capable of mixing up to 90 cu2 per hour the plant doubles Evans Concrete output. Several ranges of foundation mixes, screed, slab and specialist mixes can be produced and distributed by our flexible fleet of lorries offering 4, 6 and 8 cu2 loads.

Evans Transport have recently taken delivery of a new Euro 6 Mercedes Arocs 8m3 mixer.

Based in the Bideford East the Water depot it adds to our fleet delivering concrete in and around North Devon.

This new mixer allows for larger quantities to be delivered which helps maximise production and results in fewer trips.

With the new euro 6 engine we are able to significantly reduce our carbon emissions.

Evans Transport were really pleased to show two completely different lorries at their 50th Anniversary Dinner earlier this year. The old refurbished ERF and the new state of the art Scania. These two lorries are only a small number of the fleet currently in use at Evans.

Continuing to ensure the fleet is updated Evans Transport replace their lorries regularly and work closely with their drivers training and using new technology where possible.

We reached the milestone of 50 years in the Haulage business.

Super night celebrations took place with special guests old and new. Two wonderfull images show the old and new in the haulage world.

The old ERF was in fact the first purchased by Mr John Evans and was refurbished for this special occasion. The latest state of the art Scania was also delivered, this shows how things have changed over all these years.

Palletforce Team “Depot of the Year” for second year running.

At the annual Palletforce Gala Awards Dinner held in London, the Evans Transport Palletforce team were presented with the prestigious “Depot of the Year” award for 2014. From their base in East the Water the Palletforce team collect and deliver customer pallets daily through the Palletforce Organisation located in the East Midlands who are supported by 90 other depots.

Receiving this award is a major testament to the staff at Palletforce here in Bideford, during the last twelve months they have witnessed a significant increase in freight, as the Palletforce organisation reputation continues to grow due to high quality service to all their customers.

The Bideford Depot provides first class service backed up by a fleet of vehicles capable of delivering various pallet sizes, with tail lifts and experienced drivers. The customer service team are always on hand to offer support and advice for all your needs.    

Evans Transport boosts their “Palletforce” fleet taking delivery of new state of the art Trailer.

New to the fleet here at Evans Transport is the 52 foot long double decker trailer, used specifically for the Palletforce arm of their business.

The new trailer carries 8 more pallets than the normal standard, thus helping to reduce vehicle volumes on a weekly/yearly basis.

This delivery is the first of 3 trailers we are taking delivery of over the coming weeks.
