Evans Transport were really pleased to show two completely different lorries at their 50th Anniversary Dinner earlier this year. The old refurbished ERF and the new state of the art Scania. These two lorries are only a small number of the fleet currently in use at Evans.
Continuing to ensure the fleet is updated Evans Transport replace their lorries regularly and work closely with their drivers training and using new technology where possible.
We reached the milestone of 50 years in the Haulage business.
Super night celebrations took place with special guests old and new. Two wonderfull images show the old and new in the haulage world.
The old ERF was in fact the first purchased by Mr John Evans and was refurbished for this special occasion. The latest state of the art Scania was also delivered, this shows how things have changed over all these years.
Palletforce Team “Depot of the Year” for second year running.
At the annual Palletforce Gala Awards Dinner held in London, the Evans Transport Palletforce team were presented with the prestigious “Depot of the Year” award for 2014. From their base in East the Water the Palletforce team collect and deliver customer pallets daily through the Palletforce Organisation located in the East Midlands who are supported by 90 other depots.
Receiving this award is a major testament to the staff at Palletforce here in Bideford, during the last twelve months they have witnessed a significant increase in freight, as the Palletforce organisation reputation continues to grow due to high quality service to all their customers.
The Bideford Depot provides first class service backed up by a fleet of vehicles capable of delivering various pallet sizes, with tail lifts and experienced drivers. The customer service team are always on hand to offer support and advice for all your needs.
Evans Transport boosts their “Palletforce” fleet taking delivery of new state of the art Trailer.
New to the fleet here at Evans Transport is the 52 foot long double decker trailer, used specifically for the Palletforce arm of their business.
The new trailer carries 8 more pallets than the normal standard, thus helping to reduce vehicle volumes on a weekly/yearly basis.
This delivery is the first of 3 trailers we are taking delivery of over the coming weeks.
Evans Transport proudly unveiled their new addition to their fleet a TASCC registered 67cu artic Tipper decorated with the new branded logo.
This will join our growing tipper fleet to help service our customers in the bulk feed, clay and aggregate industries.
By having smooth sides this creates less wind resistance which helps us to reduce our carbon footprint

Within the last few weeks Evans Transport have opened their new High Tech lorry wash at their Bideford base.
Specifically suited to wash all commercial vehicles the unit is operational 5 days a week. Designed to give high pressure under chassis wash, the system also allows for top and side brushing.
