Tipping in the Tightest of Spots!

evans transport tipping

Today was one of those jobs that really tests your skill, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile — and I wouldn’t have had it any other way!

I turned up to tip this load, only to find myself facing one seriously tight shed — there was barely an inch to spare on either side! It took all my focus and careful manoeuvring to get the truck lined up dead‑centre without so much as a scratch, and then came the tipping itself… slow, steady, and precise all the way.

Once the load was out, it didn’t just end there — some of it had settled in awkward spots and didn’t fall quite where it should have. Instead of just leaving it and moving on, I grabbed a brush and got to work, sweeping every last bit into place so the farmer had a clean, tidy job ready to use straight away.

It might have added a few extra minutes to my day, but I know exactly how much difference it makes — no mess, no hassle, just exactly what he needed. That’s what it’s all about: not just doing the job, but doing it properly, even when the space is tight and the work’s a bit fiddly.

Always happy to put in that extra effort to make sure our farmers get the service they deserve — backing British farmers isn’t just a slogan, it’s how I work every single day!

TASCC accredited Haulage for Mole Valley Farmers

tascc accredited haulier

It has been a busy week for our Bulk hashtagHaulage division helping to deliver Feed to various storage hubs on behalf of Mole Valley Farmers who landed two vessels into Appledore North Devon.  As a hashtagTASCC accredited Haulier we have been on hand to get the feed-stuffs to their destination ready to be deployed into the food chain.

The area of Appledore, Northam & Bideford has a rich maritime history with Bideford once being the 3rd largest port in England. Commodities such as Timber & Tobacco were imported from America and exports such as cloth, pottery and clays were sent around the world from here. The area has an incredible history for shipbuilding so it is great to see vessels still coming into the North Devon Coast.

Appledore was also where Evans Transport Ltd head office was based from 1981 until after the acquisition of Lameys distribution, at the time taking the fleet from 15 to 25 vehicles.

Please visit our Haulage pages on our website and get in touch for a quote or to ask for more information.
