What a day! On Wednesday 29th July, we held our annual Evans Transport Golf Day at the historic Royal North Devon Golf Club.
Every year, this event continues to grow, welcoming more and more guests, clients, and friends of the company for a fantastic day out on the links. We couldn't have asked for better conditions this year—the West Country weather truly turned it on for us, providing clear skies, sunshine, and great golfing conditions from start to finish.
The 2026 Champions & Prize Winners
The competition was fierce across the course, but a few key performances stood out from the field:

Team Champions: Congratulations to Lee Merrick, Ryan Freeman, Mark Venning, and Dan Pearce, who put together a brilliant round to take home the team trophy!

Individual Champion: A special shout-out to Lee Merrick (Evans Transport), who claimed victory as our 2026 Individual Winner!

Longest Drive: James Noble (unleashing an absolute rocket down the fairway).

Nearest to the Pin (5th Hole): Dan Battershall (dropping it close on a challenging par 3).

A Fantastic Evening & Charity Auction
Following the action on the course, players retired to the clubhouse for a sublime dinner. A massive thank you to Par Dining and the entire team at Royal North Devon Golf Club for looking after us so brilliantly and serving up such a top-tier meal.
The main event of the evening was our annual Charity Auction in support of the North Devon Hospice—a charity incredibly close to our hearts that does vital work for families across our local community.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our sponsors, guests, and bidders, we are thrilled to announce that this year’s auction and event raised an astonishing £6,080!
We will be officially presenting the cheque to the North Devon Hospice team in September, and we know these funds will make a real difference.
