The Premier League may have kicked off this weekend, but it also marked the debut of a brand-new team: Appledore Lions Development Team.
As a grassroots club, Appledore Lions has built a strong core of experienced senior players who are helping to develop and mentor young talent as they make the transition into men's football. Manager Rob Ousely approached Evans Transport to become a joint kit sponsor for the development team alongside Tarka Removals, and we were delighted to support the initiative.
Saturday saw the team proudly wear their new shirts for their first league fixture against Merton. The occasion was made even more memorable with an impressive 7–4 victory.
